Note:  As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system.  The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated:      a) On or about 2/5/13, on jobsite at the Verizon Wireless Store, 6733 Transit Rd.,Williamsville, NY: An employee was exposed to potential fall of approx. 15 ft. while installing neon light bulbs in an electrical sign on the front side of the building from the "basket" of an aerial lift on a Bucket Truck. The employee was not wearing a body harness/belt with a lanyard, nor was he tethered to the boom/basket in any other way.      ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
