29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Greenhouses #4, #5 and #6, 642 Shoemaker Avenue, West Wyoming, PA: Employees were replacing plastic roofing on the greenhouse roofs fourteen (14) feet above the concrete floor without any guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, on or about February 7, 2013. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation.
