(a) Roof, new medical facility located at 3666 Hwy. 54W, Fayetteville, GA 30214: Employees were not protected from eye injuries while operating Hitachi (Model NV45AB2) Coil Roofing Nail Guns as these pneumatic tools were operated without safety glasses.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    (a) Roof, new medical facility located at 3666 Hwy. 54W, Fayetteville, GA 30214: Employees were exposed to fall hazards while installing shingles on a 6/12 pitched roof at heights of approximately 19' to the ground with no fall protection system in place.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed:    (a) South side, new medical facility located at 3666 Hwy. 54W, Fayetteville, GA 30214: Employees were exposed to falls of approximately 12' while using a TranzSporter (LH200) Platform Hoist Ladder as a means of access to the roof. The manufacturer of this ladder states that it should not be used as a personnel ladder as the first 4 rungs of the ladder are obstructed by the loading platform and a metal cable runs through the middle of the ladder.
