29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met. On or about February 12, 2013, the employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain a hazard communication program for the employees working in laundry and housekeeping of the facility, exposing employees to inhalation and absorption hazards. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that a program is developed, maintained, and implement for employee safety.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area. On or about February 12, 2013, the employer did not provide the employees with training at the time of initial work assignment on the hazard communication program, exposing the employees to absorption and inhalation hazards while working. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that the employees received training before their initial assignment to a workplace.
