29 CFR 1918.62(f): Properly fitting thimbles were not used with a rope permanently secured to a ring, shackle, or other attachment.ALLEGED VIOLATION DESCRIPTION (A.V.D.): Weather Freezer Hold Hatch: On or about February 5, 2013 and at times prior thereto, the thimbles on the four-legs of the wire rope bridal were not properly fitted. This condition created excessive wear to the wire rope and exposed employees to struck-by hazards.
