29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: a) The employer did not ensure that portable fire extinguishers were identified and mounted such that they were readily accessible to employee(s) during an emergency. (1) In front of bays # 26 and 27, access to a pillar-mounted fire extinguisher was blocked by stacked pallets which were used as a workstation for freight processing equipment. Flammable liquid(s) were handled nearby using forklifts. The condition was observed on 14 February 2013, brought to the attention of the employer and observed again on 27 February 2013. (2) In front of bays # 11 and 12, access to a pillar-mounted fire extinguisher was blocked by wood boxes (air cargo). The condition was observed on 27-Feb-2013.
