29 CFR 1926.501(c): The employer did not ensure that when employees were exposed to falling objects: In addition to having employees wear hardhats, the employer shall implement one of the measures outlined in 501(c)(1) through (c)(3) which include:  Provide a toeboard, or screen or the equivalent, or a canopy,  or keep objects back away from the edge,  or barricade the area to which objects can fall:       a)   Steel lintel beams were left unsecured 20 feet overhead.  Employees working below or going in or out of the building can be struck by the falling beam.  Several lintel beams were put in position with shims but were not secured by bolts or cement.
