29 CFR 1910.157(g): The employer did not provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire-fighting where portable fire extinguishers for employee use were in the workplace. a) In the segregation unit, on February 23, 2013, the employer did not provide for adequate training on the hazardous circumstances where incipient stage fires required the use of portable fire extinguishers, exposing employees to the hazards associated with smoke inhalation and burns. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED
