29 CFR 1926.300(a): Hand tool(s), power tool(s) or similar equipment were not maintained in a safe condition: a) South wing dorm 2nd floor: On February 20, 2013, and times prior thereto, employees were using an electric power drill with a damaged cord with a split exterior cord cover to mix concrete patch material. b) South wing dorm 2nd floor: On February 20, 2013, and times prior thereto, employees were using an power drill electric charging station that had a damaged cord with exposed conductors that had been wrapped with tape. Note: Abatement certification is required for this item.
