29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program was not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting: On or about February 27th, 2013, employees responding to an incipient stage fire in cell 6B used portable fire extinguishers provided for employee use in the workplace; the employer did not provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage firefighting. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.157(g)(2): The educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting was not provided to all employees upon initial employment, and at least annually thereafter: On or about February 27th, 2013, employees responding to an incipient stage fire in cell 6B used portable fire extinguishers provided for employee use in the workplace; the employer did not provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage firefighting upon initial employment and annually thereafter. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
