Gears were not guarded in accordance with one of the following methods: a) 9317 Racetrack Road, Delmar, DE - Saw/Drill Area - Employees working with an unguarded section of gears on a 440 volt Hem saw, Model #WF 190LM-DC conveyor system. The employees use the saw daily during the manufacturing process. This exposed the employees to potential contact with unguarded gears, sprockets and chains, creating an entanglement and/or amputation hazard. The violation was observed on or about February 15, 2013.

All sprocket wheels and chains were not enclosed unless they are more than seven (7) feet above the floor or platform: a) 9317 Racetrack Road, Delmar, DE - Saw/Drill Area - Employees working with unenclosed sprocket wheels and chains, that are less than 7 feet above the floor, on a 440 volt Hem saw, Model #WF 190LM-DC conveyor system. The employees use the saw daily during the manufacturing process. This exposed the employees to potential contact with unguarded sprockets and chains, creating an entanglement and/or amputation hazard. The violation was observed on or about February 15, 2013.

Electric equipment was not free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) 9317 Racetrack Road, Delmar, DE - Welding/Fabrication Area - Employees working with a 240 volt GE panel box PS-2A with a damaged door that did not properly close. The employees use the panel daily to service various tools and equipment during the manufacturing process. This exposed the employees to potential electrical shock and/or electrocution hazards. The violation was observed on or about February 15, 2013.
