29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On March 1, 2013, at the address of 720 Shoop Ave., Wauseon, OH: The employer did not assure employees were protected from falls while installing a kickboard for a new parapet wall on a low sloped roof on a commercial structure. The employees were exposed to approximately a 15 fall to the paved area below. Midwest Contracting Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1926.501(b) (13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313782484, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 7, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 3028 Lagrange Street, Toledo, Ohio.
