29 CFR 1926.200(h)(1): Accident prevention tags were not used as a temporary means of warning employees of an existing hazard, such as defective tools, equipment, etc. They shall not be used in place of, or as a substitute for, accident prevention signs. (a) Colton work trailer: The Makita framing saw electrical cord was damaged and was not tagged as defective. This exposed employees to a potential electric shock hazard from using the saw in a damaged condition. (b) Colton work trailer: The Dewalt framing saw electrical cord was damaged and was not tagged as defective. This exposed employees to a potential electric shock hazard from using the saw in a damaged condition.
