29 CFR 1926.652(b)(2): Maximum allowable slopes, and allowable configurations for sloping and benching systems, was not determined in accordance with the conditions and requirements set forth in Appendices A and B to this subpart. 414 North Chaparral Street, Corpus Christi, Texas: Employees engaged in pipeline installation activities were exposed to struck-by hazards from contact with falling soils while working in an excavation not properly sloped/benched. The employees worked in an excavation 3 feet wide, 180 feet long and 6 1/2 feet deep.
