29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables were not protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points. On or about 5 March 2013 employees of Unit Drilling Corporation were exposed to electrocution hazards by flexible cords being caught in pinch points without being protected while working on near the high voltage electrical generator room of rig number 304.

29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent). On or about 5 March 2013 employees of Unit Drilling Company were exposed to fall hazards of approximately eight feet while unloading materials adjacent to the mud pit on rig number 304 located 15 miles southwest of Canadian, Texas. Unit Drilling was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313694408, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11 February 2011, with respect to a workplace located at Hamar 1-14H Well, Sec 14-12N-18W Custer City Clinton, OK 73601.
