29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards: Location: 5 tipping Drive, Branford, CT 06405 a) The 9 foot 6 inch wide, 18 foot 3 inch long open-sided mezzanine storage area with an 8 foot 11 inch high fall distance above the maintenance supervisor's office inside the maintenance garage was not equipped with standard railings. b) The 6 foot 5 inch long open-sided storage area with an 8 foot 11 inch high fall distance above the bathroom inside the maintenance garage was not equipped with a standard railing. c) The 6 foot 8 inch high open-sided storage area with an 8 foot 10 inch high fall distance above the parts storage area was not equipped with a standard railing. d) The 7 foot 4 inch open-sided floor on the south side, 13 foot 1 inch open-sided floor on the east side and 16 foot 10 inch open-sided floor on the north side of the storage area above the oil and fluid storage area with a 10 foot 8 inch high fall distance were not equipped with standard railings.
