OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Location: Brewery Employees access dispensing tank access points by standing on kegs. The kegs are not a stable or even working surface and their inadequacy may have contributed to an acid splash accident that occurred on or about March 10, 2013. A feasible and useful method of abatement, among other methods, is to use a rolling ladder to access the dispensing tank access ports.
