Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing for likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards due to coming on contact with unwinding coils during "backing off": (a)On March 7, 2013, an employee sustained injuries when a coil unwounded striking him several times on the 48" line. The injured employee was in the process of exiting the pit when the incident occurred.
