29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift:Note:  As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system.  The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated:    For work preformed at 647 SW 19th St., Moore, OK 73160: On or about March 8, 2013, and at times prior there to, employees were observed not wearing a body harness or lanyard while working from an aerial lift. The employees were exposed to a fall of greater than 10 feet to the ground below.    Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps it is taking to ensure that employees are wearing a body harness while working from aerial lifts.     AZTEC BUILDING SYSTEMS INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.453 (b) (2) (v) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 313689804, CITATION 1, ITEM 01a, ISSUED ON MAY 24, 2010 FOR THE WORKSITE LOCATED AT 2340 NW 50th St., OKLAHOMA CITY, OK 73112.
