Roof Area: Employees installing individual sheathing boards on the 6/12 sloped roof were not protected from falls ranging in height from 9 to 10 feet as observed on 3-12-13. 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):     Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails did to extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:    a. Living Room Adjacent to Interior Door Leading to the Garage: Employees were exposed to a fall while using a Husky 6 foot fiberglass step ladder to access a floored landing above the garage measuring approximately 8 feet and 8 inches as determined on 3-12-13.    b. Living Room Adjacent to Interior Door Leading to the Garage: Employees were exposed to a fall while using a Werner 8 foot fiberglass step ladder to access a floored landing above the garage measuring approximately 8 feet and 8 inches as determined on 3-12-13.
