29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):  Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):     The employer does not protect employees from falling when performing framing activities.  This violation occurred on or about March 13, 2013, at the job site, where an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while performing framing activities on a residential structure.       Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from falls.

29 CFR 1926.1053(a)(3)(i):  Rungs, cleats, and steps of fixed ladders were spaced more than 14 inches (36 cm) apart, as measured along the ladder's side rails:    The employer does not ensure that ladder rungs are no more than 14 inches apart.  This violation occurred on or about March 13, 2013, at the job site, where an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while using a ladder with rungs spaced up to 34 inches apart.     Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from falls while using ladders.

29 CFR 1926.1053(a)(24):  The side rails of through or sidestep fixed ladders did not extend 42 inches (1.1 m) above the top of the access level or landing platform served by the ladder:    The employer does not ensure that the side rails of the ladder extended 42 inches above the upper landing surface.  This violation occurred on or about March 13, 2013, at the job site, where an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while using a fixed ladder that did not extend past the upper landing surface.     Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from falls while using ladders.
