29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers. (a) 551 Hwy 51 N Brookhaven, MS - On or about March 12, 2013, employees were working on a scaffold approximately 12'-8" high from ground level to working platform. They were not protected from falling from the open sides of the scaffold by a guardrail system or a personal fall arrest system.

29 CFR 1926.452(c)(2): Frames and panels shall be braced by cross, horizontal, or diagonal braces, or combination thereof, which secure vertical members together laterally. The cross braces shall be of such length as will automatically square and align vertical members so that the erected scaffold is always plumb, level, and square. All brace connections shall be secured. (a) 551 Hwy 51 N Brookhaven, MS - On or about March 12, 2013 employees were stacking bricks on a scaffold approximately 12'-8" high without cross bracing on the side close to the building.
