29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest system. a) As observed on or about 03/15/13 employees were patching a hole and preparing to install shingles on the roof at the building located at 214 North Boulevard in Tampa Florida. The employees were not using fall protection and were exposed to falls and that ranged from 9 to 21 feet.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Employees patching a hole and preparing to install shingles on the roof of a building located at 214 North Boulevard in Tampa Florida were not properly trained. As observed on or about 03/15/13, the employees didn't know when fall protective devices were required to minimize fall hazards while exposed to falls that ranged from 9 to 21 feet.
