29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. Employees engaged in constructing new residential homes were exposed to fall hazards. The employees were exposed in that a fall protection system was not in place while: a) The employee was working approximately 17 feet from a working platform to the ground below. b) The employee was standing next to the balcony edge approximately 11 feet from the edge to the ground below.
