Employees involved in re-roofing the 2 in 12 to 4 in 12 sloped residential roof were exposed to falls of up to 18 feet to the ground below as they were not using any means of fall protection. 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) 12 Trojan Avenue, Parsippany, NJ and at the Corporate Offices at 56 Mason Street, Lake Hopatcong, NJ. Workers engaged in residential re-roofing activities were not provided with a training program which would help workers identify and minimize fall hazards. Violation observed on or about 03/05/2013.
