29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level.    Sanitary Kennel Area:  The exit door was obstructed by a sanitary drain pipe and a pile of cardboard boxes.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1):    The employer shall assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).     Practice-wide- The employer did not perform a formal job hazard assessment to determine what personal protective equipment was necessary for veterinarians and veterinary technicians relative to hand, face, body, and gonad protection from potentiallly hazardous chemicals, medications, and x-rays.
