29 CFR 1910.36(b)(1): Two exit routes. At least two exit routes must be available in a workplace to permit prompt evacuation of employees and other building occupants during an emergency, except as allowed in paragraph (b)(3) of this section. The exit routes must be located as far away as practical from each other so that if one exit route is blocked by fire or smoke, employees can evacuate using the second exit route. Shop - On or about March 22, 2013 the shop consisted of an upper and lower level. The lower level did not have a marked exit route.

29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprockets and chains. All sprocket wheels and chains shall be enclosed unless they are more than seven (7) feet above the floor or platform. Where the drive extends over other machine or working areas, protection against falling shall be provided. This subparagraph does not apply to manually operated sprockets. North Shop - On or about March 22, 2013 employee operates a conveyor used to clean metal fragments from a Daewoo lathe. The guard was missing that covers the chain and sprockets of the conveyor drive unit.
