On Wednesday, April 3, 2013, an employee designated as a burner was exposed to a lead in air concentration of 107 micrograms per cubic meter of air calculated as an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA). Zero exposure was assumed for any unsampled time when calculating the 8-hour TWA. The exposure was 2.1 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air.
