Metal cabinets constructed in the following manner shall be deemed to be in compliance. The bottom, top, door, and sides of cabinet shall be at least No. 18 gage sheet iron and double walled with 1 1/2 - inch air space. Joints shall be riveted, welded or made tight by some equally effective means. The door shall be provided with a three-point lock, and the door sill shall be raised at least 2 inches above the bottom of the cabinet. On or before March 26, 2013 in the maintenance shop employees were exposed to a fire hazard in that the flammable storage locker in use did not meet the requirements for construction.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): Flexible cords were not used only in continuous lengths without splice or tap: On or about March 26, 2013 at 1201 E 12th Ave in Kansas City MO employees were exposed to an electrical shock hazard in that the flexible cord used to power the box fan in the bagging area of the sawmill was damaged and not repaired so that it retained outer sheath properties or characteristic of the cord.
