29 CFR 1926.501(a)(2): The employer shall determine if the waqlking/working surfaces on which its employees are to work have the vstrength and structural integrity to support employees safely.  Employees shall be allowed to work on those surfaces only when the surfaces have the requisite strength and structural integrity.     Location: 869 East 95th Street., Brooklyn, NY.    a )  The working/walking surface collapsed with the workers and construction materials and did not have the reequisite strength to support the load imposed, on or about 3/22/13.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which is over 6 feet or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:     Location: 869 East 95th Street., Brooklyn, NY.    a )  Employees were installing guardrails at the edge of the 3rd floor and had no fall protection while installing fall protection, on or about 3/22/13.

The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:    Location: 869 East 95th Street., Brooklyn, NY.    a )  The employer did not train the employees in the hazards of falling from the 3rd floor edge while installing fall protection, on or about 3/22/13.    b) the employer did not train the employees in fall hazards caused by collapse due to the floor being overloaded by a delivery of blocks, on or about 3/22/13.
