Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) On or about March 28, 2013 and at times prior; the employer did not ensure a fall protection method was implemented and/or used while an employee was working at the roof area replacing shingles which exposed the employee to falls of 8 feet from the eave to the ground below
