29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent). (a) Roof of General Store - The employer directed an employee to climb to the roof of the general store using a contractor's ladder on the north side of the building to replace a spot light bulb on the south corner of the roof. The employee was not protected by a guardrail or equivalent and was exposed to a fall of 10 feet 9 inches from the eave of the roof to the asphalt pavement below on or about March 29, 2013.
