29 CFR 1910.67(b)(2) Aerial lifts were "field modified" for uses other than those intended by the manufacturer, but the modification was not certified in writing by the manufacturer. On April 1, 2013, the employer had modified a Custom Cage manufactured by Lakeshore Industrial to allow the wider forks of a Gradall Material Handler to lift the cage.
