29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. a. On or about April 3, 2013, the employer did not conduct periodic inspections to ensure that maintenance employees authorized to lockout were following hazardous energy isolation procedures while they performed maintenance and servicing on powered machinery and equipment.
