At the work site, employees operated fork lift trucks to move large cardboard bins of electronic parts on pallets from the receiving, sorting and shipping areas. The employer did not have written documentation of employee training on the operation of fork lift trucks including a method of observation and documentation of drivers' competency.

Employers shall have a material safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use. a. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and safety data sheets. a. On the day of inspection, the employer did not have any employee training materials or employee training records about the hazards of materials being handled.
