29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): Hazard assessment and equipment selection. The employer shall assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). (a) As of and prior to April 1, 2013, the employer failed to perform a comprehensive hazard assessment to determine personal protective equipment requirements and select, then require use for protection from workplace hazards evaluated such as but not limited to methyl ethyl ketone, isopropyl alcohol and epoxy resin, as required by 1910.132(d)(1)(i-iii) and certify the assessment as required by 1910.132(d)(2).
