29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  Front of the Machine Shop:  1) The openable guards of  two Brown and Sharpe Screw Machines were not interlocked with the drive mechanism to prevent the machine from running with the cover open and from being started with the cover open.   2) The rotating nuts of a buffing machine were not guarded.  3) The chuck key of the Tongil Lathe was not equipped with a spring.
