29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(i): Adequate precautions were not taken to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors from sources such as open flames; lightning; smoking; cutting and welding; hot surfaces; frictional heat; static, electrical, and mechanical sparks; spontaneous ignition, including heat-producing chemical reactions; and radiant heat: a) On and prior to April 8, 2013, employees smoke in areas where flammable liquid vapors may be present including liquids but not limited to, Ardex Spot Remover (Category 2 Flammable Liquid), Grow Automotive Wash Thinner (Category 2 Flammable Liquid), ECP Protector Electronic Rust Inhibiting Shield (Category 3 Flammable Liquid). b) On and prior to April 8, 2013, employees apply an undercoating to vehicles with ECP Protector Electronic Rust Inhibiting Shield (Category 3 Flammable Liquid) near sources of ignition including fluorescent lighting, a portable lamp and electrical outlets.
