29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about April 10, 2013 employees were exposed to cuts, lacerations, fractures and amputations when using production machinery. Safety devices including interlocks were not functioning or missing on machines located in the production area. This includes the following equipment: Matsuura ES450 971112853, Matsuura MC-600V 910409256, Hurco CNC VMX42, Matsuura MC510VF, Matsuura Tome TMC-15, RA1G Matsuura and RA2G Matsuura. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
