29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) 1721 Eastern Blvd, Montgomery, AL; On or about April 3, 2013 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed his employees to fall hazards in that employees were allowed to work on a roof that was 15 feet above the ground and the roof was sloped 5:12 without being protected from falling by guardrail system with toeboards, safety nets system, or personal fall arrest systems, while installing a metal roof. The GMC Blue Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312771835, citation number 1, item number 1and was affirmed as a final order on 08/04/2009, with respect to a workplace located at 6062 Buford Hwy. ste 207 Norcross, GA, 30071.
