29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) A.J. Veneklasen, Inc. on or about April 9, 2013, at the address of 7779 Arbor Dr. Northwood, OH: The employer failed to ensure employees were protected from an approximant 21 ft. fall to the ground below while performing work covered under the scope of steel erection. No acceptable form of fall protection was in place while workers were installing gutter straps at the edge of the structures roof deck.
