29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Grand Rapids Industrial Process Service, Inc. DBA, G.R.I.P.S., Inc. on or about April 09, 2013, at the address of 7779 Arbor Dr. Northwood, OH: The employer failed to ensure an employee installing HVAC units atop a commercial structure was adequately protected from falls. The employee working in this condition was exposed to an approximant 21 ft. fall to the ground below.
