29 CFR 1910.178(g)(2): Battery charging apparatus for industrial trucks located in battery changing and charging area was not protected from damage by trucks: (a) Building 6250 / Storage Area - The VFroce battery charging apparatus was not protected by location or a physical barrier guard to prevent physical damage by fork lift trucks. In accordance with 29CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): (a) Building 6019/ Stitching Area- The physical barrier guard on the two Harris - AM Graphics Stitchers would not prevent entry of hands into the point of operation. The machines interlock devices did not work in order to prevent the machines from operating while the guards were opened. (b) Building 6250 / Bailer Area - The sliding barrier door on the bailer would not prevent entry of hands into the point of operation. The machine had an interlock device that failed to stop the machine from operating when the door was opened. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
