General-duty citation text
29 CFR 1910.304(f)(1)(iv): Overcurrent devices for circuits rated 600 volts, nominal, or less, were not readily accessible to each employee or authorized building management personnel: Naval Post Graduate School - NAVFAC Monterey Carpenter Shop, Bldg. 427 - On or about April 8, 2013 and at times prior thereto, access to the overcurrent devices rated 600 volts, nominal or less was blocked by a large acrylic tube/duct in the only access area opening to the disconnects. The overcurrent device panels are associated with woodworking equipment and lights located in the carpenter shop. Blocked access discourages lockout/tagout for maintenance purposes and delays access in case of electrical fires.
