OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees       Refrigerating machinery room - On or about May 24, 2013, employee(s) were not adequately protected against the potential release of anhydrous ammonia in that:     a. The meanings of the machinery room West and South alarms were not clearly marked by signage near their visual and audible annunciators.      b. Emergency shutdown procedures, including precautions to be observed were not posted on a conspicuous card outside the engine room adjacent to each door.      c. In the refrigerating machinery room the vessel (VS101) containing ammonia was not marked with information that included the identity of the hazardous chemical contained therein and the applicable hazard warnings for it.     d. A body shower unit was not located external to the refrigerating machinery room and readily accessible via an exit.     Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means to correct the hazard is:    1. Adhere to the safe design, installation and operation of anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems by ANSI/ASHRAE 15-2010, "Safety Code for Mechanical Refrigeration" and ANSI/IIAR 2-2008, "Equipment Design and Installation of Closed-Circuit Ammonia Mechanical Refrigeration Syatems".
