29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    In Building B located at G&G Manufacturing Co: On the PFauster Gear Hobbing machine Model# RS#3, Serial # 14009 the employer failed to ensure adequate guarding was used to protect employees while the machine was in operation. The employer provided 4- posts connected together with a chain. The posts were not fixed and could and were easily moved by employees to access the area while the machine was in operation. All controls including the Emergency stop to the machine are inside of the area of operation therefore the employees would be exposed to the hazards created by the machine during set-up, start-up, adjusting and shut-down.
