29 CFR 1926.1412(d)(1): Visual inspections were not performed by a competent person prior to each shift for apparent deficiencies of the equipment that was used: The employer failed to ensure that an adequate visual inspection of the National Crane 1400-H truck mounted crane was made by the competent person prior to each shift in the following instance: a) Site conditions did not provide for proper deployment or support of the outriggers or its cribbing. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
