29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: The employer did not implement a hearing conservation program. (1.) The Fabricator working in the northwest corner of the fabrication room was exposed to 117.4% of the permissible daily exposure (8-hour time weighted average of 80 dBA) or the equivalent sound level of approximately 91.2 dBA during a 441 minutes sampling period on 04/26/13: exposure calculation includes a zero increment for the 39 minutes not sampled. (2.) The Fabricator working in the southwest corner of the fabrication room was exposed to noise at 66.0% of the permissible daily exposure (8-hour time weighted average of 80 dBA) or the equivalent sound level of approximately 87.0 dBA during a 440 minutes sampling period on 04/26/13: exposure calculation includes a zero increment for the 40 minutes not sampled. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
