29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) 1167 Ocean Avenue, Sea Bright, NJ: Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 14.1 feet from the eave to the ground level without fall protection. The employees were performing roofing repair on a 6 on 12 pitch roof, observed on or about 4/27/13. Gen II Contracting Co. Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 526979, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/18/13. Gen II Contracting Co. Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313608275, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/8/2009. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICAITON, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
