29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. KeHE Distributors, Inc.: The employer failed to ensure an eyewash shower unit was adequate and/or available in areas where employees were exposed to injurious materials such as, but not limited to, sodium hypochlorite, XL-50 (Potassium Hydroxide), lead/acid batteries and other injurious materials while performing maintenance, forklift operations, sanitation operations and other activities involving warehouse and food distribution. a) Clean Room: An eyewash/shower facility was not provided for exposed employees. b) Battery charging Area (near the dock): The eyewash/shower unit was inadequate, in that the eyewash bowl was not secured; the water pipe did not have a connection to prevent water flow on the floor.
